Age: 25

Alignment: Heel

Entrance music: "Rio" by Duran Duran

Current league: MBC

Former leagues: ESWP, IEWA, IWWA, NWCI, WHIP

Titles previously held: NWCI Television title

Wrestling appearance: She has long, blond hair, blue eyes, and a lean build. Her wrestling gear consists of white, one piece wrestling tights, with gold stripes down the sides, and the words "Amazing Grace" written on the front in black, cursive lettering. She also wears white kneepads and white wrestling boots. To the ring, she wears a gold robe, styled similar to what Randy Savage once wore, with silver trim.

Personality: Amazing Grace started as a face, but turned heel because she believed she got the cold shoulder from NWCI. She is boastful and cocky, and can be somewhat like Chris Jericho with her attitude, in terms of pouting to referees about what's going on during a match. Grace is a risk taker, and loves to go for the high flying moves, especially various dives outside the ring. She also has a solid scientific wrestling background. But she is not that strong and has a temper. Occassionally, after hitting a wrestling move, she'll stop to yell "Now THAT'S amazing!" to the crowd.

Finishing move: Amazing Finish (450 splash), Going Out Gracefully (rolling half crab)

Personal/smart info: Grace is a talented artist, who likes to paint in her spare time. She also enjoys dancing, and loves music. Grace is also a fan of Detroit's sports teams, and her favorite athlete is Barry Sanders.

Biography: Amazing Grace actually started her career off as a fan favorite when she made her debut in the NWCI. She was known primarily for her high-risk, flashy moves, but her career seemed to be at a standstill. Although she eventually became the NWCI Television champion, she felt as if she was getting the respect from the fans, who seemed to be more interested in the more established competitors.

These feelings were cemented when she was booked against a mystery opponent, and it was revealed to be the Black Widow, one of the most popular NWCI wrestlers. Although the match was non-title, Grace still felt bitter about the match and that this was the proof that she wasn't getting respect, despite her best efforts.

And this was reflected in a change of attitude for her when, after the NWCI closed down, she emerged in IEWA. And immediately upon her arrival, she exhibited a cocky attitude that had not been seen in her before. She certainly seemed to live up to her boasts, as she defeated two larger opponents, but then lost to Fionna O'Brien of the Wild Knights in her third match in the IEWA. The decision was that she had submitted, but she claimed she had never done that and it was the referee making a judgment call, and in her eyes, a poor one.

Her complaints against officials caught the attention of Amy Devlin, who was also in IEWA and believed there was a conspiracy against her by officials as well. And after IEWA closed its doors, Devlin signed Grace to become a member of The Corporation in the IWWA. Grace was responsible for two mysterious attacks on members of the Daughters of Destruction (both with the arena lights going out), one which resulted in Corporate member Callisto winning the IWWA World title. Then, in a match where Devlin faced Brandi Lynn, another "lights out" attack occurred, and Grace was revealed to be the person behind these attacks.

It wasn't long before Grace was worrying about officials again...of course, it was always in her eyes that these officials were corrupt. At any rate, Grace objected to the way referees handled a four-way match she was a part of, as well as her first singles match against Gia Herbert. She managed to find some comfort in forming a tag team with Callisto called Simply Amazing. The IWWA went on hiatus, but then returned to action a few months later.

Upon the IWWA's return, Devlin pulled Princess Power back into The Corporation. The Princess was a wrestler who had been kicked out of The Corporation just as Grace had arrived, and Grace made it known that she didn't care for the Princess at all. However, another wrestler who Grace crossed paths with resulted in one of her biggest rivalries ever.

That wrestler was "Tornado" Tara Smith, who faced Grace in a singles match. During the match, Grace attempted a splash, but Tara raised her knees, injuring Grace in the process. Although it was obvious to everyone what happened was an accident, Grace never saw it that way, and she took her frustrations out on Tara, attacking her a few weeks later when Tara and Arielle Starr faced Sierra Browne and Dalbello Rage. This led to a three-way match where Grace faced Tara and Sierra, with Tara again prevailing.

The IWWA closed shortly after, and Grace took a hiatus from wrestling before joining ESWP. However, her stay proved short as the promotion also closed its doors quickly. Grace would later re-surface in WHIP, and that was also where she crossed paths with Tara Smith again, and the two renewed their rivalry, wrestling to a no contest in a match before WHIP also closed its doors.

And that brings us to the present, with MBC owner Kyle Lee having received word about Grace and her hatred for Tara Smith. Tara held the MBC presidency and Kyle Lee had no love lost for her, so he recruited Grace into The Faction, a group of wrestlers who worked for Lee in an attempt to take back the MBC. Certainly, given the dislike the two women have for each other, one can expect that the rivalry between Grace and Tara will once again end up in the ring.

My thoughts on Amazing Grace: Much of her character was inspired by the late Owen Hart...the cockiness that can quickly can change into anger, the whiny attitude at times, and her wrestling style, although she's a little more "high risk" in her aerial attacks than Owen was. I think she's developed much better as a heel, than as a babyface as I originally planned to start her as. Of all the heel characters I roleplay, Grace is the most fun, simply because she's "old school" in terms of her attitude and style. I've always liked the old-school heels that I grew up watching in wrestling, and I think Grace helps fill a void in that aspect, given that so many heels today try to be super-tough, rather than showing some weaknesses, which I think Grace clearly does.
