Where else I've lived: Three months after I was born, my family moved to Longmont, Colorado, where I lived most of my life and attended school. I then lived in Greeley, Colorado, when attending college for four years, and moved to Rocky Ford, Colorado, in 1989 after getting my first job in journalism. Five years later, I moved to Raton for my new job.
High school graduation: Class of 1989 from Longmont High School.
College graduation: Class of 1993 from University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, major in journalism and minor in political science.
Current job: Sports editor, The Raton Range, a twice-weekly newspaper.
Previous job: Reporter, Rocky Ford Daily Gazette, a newspaper published Monday through Friday.
Jobs held in high school and college: Worked at King's Table Buffet from the day it opened in October 1987 until the day it closed in July 1992. Also briefly worked for a plastics company, a car wash, and in shipping and receiving at a discount store. I also wrote for the college newspaper at UNC, The Mirror.
Immediate family members: My mother and father still live in Longmont, and I have a sister who is two years younger than me and presently lives in Johnstown, Colorado.
